An internet fraudster, identified as Precious Mayor, has allegedly tortured his apprentices at Igbogbo in the Ikorodu area of Lagos state after they failed to meet their target.
 
Mayor tortured his apprentices who had traveled from Imo State to receive instruction in cyber fraud.

However, when they failed to meet their targets just a few days into their apprenticeship, Mayor reportedly confined them to a room and subjected them to physical harm. 


Spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident to the publication, said the suspect was on Tuesday, August 26, 2023, arrested, along with his wife, Emmanuela Mayor, and two other accomplices – Prince Afam and Israel Simon.


“The victims were tortured and deprived of their freedom. The arrested suspects have been moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department,” the PPRO added.
